Don’t Use Our Land To Appease The Ijaws; Warri Restoration Movement Warns

  • Else We’ll Grind, All Economic Activities In Warri Kingdom
  • Gives FG two weeks to Fix the Ground Breaking Ceremony date.

Following the calling off of the grounding breaking ceremony of  the EPZ that was to be located in Iteskiri Kingdom which attracted condemnation from Itesikiri people, a group known as Warri Restoration Movement is threatening to ground all economic activities in Warri Kingdom if any of their land is decimated or annexed to the Ijaw people to appease them.

According to the group, they have given the federal government two weeks to fix the day for the ground breaking ceremony or face what they call Operation Ground Zero.

In a statement signed by the Director of Communication and Strategy of the Movement, Comrade Abugewa Okotie made available to universalreporters247.com said; “We the Warri Restoration Movement wish to state that the current imbroglio surrounding the EPZ groundbreaking ceremony is a deliberate, calculated, evil attempt by our Ijaw neighbours to start another genocide/ethnic cleansing against the Itsekiri people whom they see as their obstacle to a Toru-ebe State/Niger Delta Republic.”

“It is in the light of the above, therefore, that we will be launching the “Operation Ground Zero”, to ground all economic activities in Warri Kingdom two weeks from today, if any part of our land is decimated/annexed by the FG to appease the Ijaws in the EPZ project/if the groundbreaking ceremony is not fixed within this period,” the movement said.

“Operation Ground Zero” shall be in phases in collaboration with all Itsekiri groups  as there will be ‘spiritual exercise of fasting and prayers in Warri Royal Cementary.”
