The State Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party, Hon.Francis Orogu has warned party supporters in the State to shun anything inimical to the success of the party ahead of 2019 general election.

Orogu disclosed this during the inauguration of the governorship campaign team.

He described the action of those destroying posters and billboards as a threat to democracy.

He challenged party members to abide by the decision of the party for peace to reign.

“I don’t see reasons why politicians would be going round destroying billboards and posters as undemocratic”

Hon.Francis Orogu said called on members to desist from sales of their Permanent Voters Card, adding that anybody that sales his PVC is selling the future of the generation yet unborn.

“Election should not be about posters and billboards but should be about your voting power which is your PVC”.

“If you sale your PVC for a token you are risking our future and our children’s future and percentage payment will continue as well as suffering would perturbed in the state”.

The Chairman appealed to party supporters to consider the party above selfish interest for the party to succeed in the forthcoming election.

Orogu challenged party critical stakeholders of the party to shun anything that may jeopardise the succees of the party at all level.

He sued for forgiveness from candidates that were wrong in one way or the

Orogu commended the think-tank of the party for uniting the party even at a critical time.

He described the All Progressive Grand Alliance as a distraction.

A senator representing Nasarawa North, Senator Philip Aruwa Gyunka in his speech appealed to all party men and women to swallow their pride and work towards the successful outing of the party.

He donated all his campaign billboards stands to the party governorship candidate, Hon. David Ombugadu.

The Chairman was reacting over an invitation by security agents following the destruction of posters and billboards of a Governorship candidate of Zenith Labour Party, Umar Aliyu Akwe , Son to the immediate governor of the State, Aliyu Akwe Doma.

It was alleged that the Chairman of Doma Local Government, Hon. Rabo Sani directed that all campaign posters and billboards of Umar Akwe be destroyed.

The Chairman would not be reached for comment as at press time.
