The Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Kano State, M.A. Lawan on Thursday said there were no substantial evidence to link House of Representatives leader, Alhassan Doguwa with the electoral violence that swept through his country home, reportedly resuling in the death of 15 New Nigeria People’s Party supporters.
Briefing reporters in his office in respect of the case, Lawan said, “we are of the opinion that we cannot substantiate charges of criminal conspiracy, mischief by fire and culpable homicide against Ado Doguwa.”
The outgoing Commissioner for Justice said : “The statement of those that implicated him were full of contradictions. And apart from their contradictory statements, we could not find medical evidence to prove that the death of the deceased persons was caused by Alhassan Ado Doguwa ”
