Dogara’s Support Group Solicits Votes For PDP’s Atiku Abubakar

A group loyal to former speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt Honorable Yakubu Dogara has promised to canvass votes for the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic party (PDP) Alhaji Atiku Abubakar the Waziri of Adamawa in the upcoming February presidential election.

The group known as Dogara Support Group, its leader Comrade John Emmanuel Rica said they are well prepared to fully support and give PDP their votes.

He said this shortly after their meeting with Dogara on Wednesday in Abuja, insisting that nothing will stop the group from voting PDP because of the infrastructural development Dogara bring to the constituency, Bauchi State and Nigeria at whole.

According to the chairman of the group Rica said that “Dogara support group for Atiku is a group of all supporters and lovers of Dr. Yakubu Dogara the Speaker 8th National Assembly, the group is a global group, and has been in existence since 2007”.

Added that “We have supported and followed the successes of Rt Hon. Dogara  till date.

On our decision to support his ideology by mobilising and galvanising support and votes for Alhaji Atiku Abubakar the Waziri of Adamawa was Born out of genuine love.

Rica said that Dogara was an APC Member and he was solidly behind the numerous successes of APC until when the Party presidential candidate Ahmed Bola Tinubu decided to go for Muslim-Muslim Tickets adding that he couldn’t find any competent Christian to deputise him.

The leader of the group added that the action taken by the APC presidential candidate made them change their mind because all they know is that Nigeria is not a religious state, and they also know that Nigeria deserves peace, Unity, and Progress, therefore anyone that wants to tour the path of religious sentiment in other to achieve his personal goal, the group will not and never support him or anything that will jeopardise the peace and Unity of Nigeria.

“We will all votes Atiku because Our Political leader has in wisdom uncommon wisdom seen that other candidates are taking religious lines that are dangerous to the peace and Unity of Nigeria, so for that Atiku Abubakar is the status quo who adopted our normal way of doing politics,” said Rica.

In his part, Malam Yakubu Garba said that Dogara though a Christian, rejected the Muslim-Muslim Tickets not because of his faith, but because it’s never good for the interest of Nigeria, he rallied round Atiku who is also a Muslim, So there is no sentiment in his decision, his interest is the peace and unity of Nigeria.

Malam Garba said that they fully support the Peoples Democratic Party PDP presidential candidate Alhaji Atiku Abubakar the Waziri of Adamawa to come in 2023 because, without peace and Unity, there shall be no policy implementation so we found it very funny when we hear others saying their candidate will change economic policies for the betterment of Nigerian while they are religious bigots in their pursuit for better economy.

According to him said “we reasoned with him to give our 100% support to Alhaji Atiku Abubakar who by God’s grace will emerge victorious in the forthcoming general election to come in 2023.
