The Osun state governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in 2018 election, Senator Ademola Adeleke has commiserated with Muslims in Osun state over the death of Sheikh Abdulrauf Olododo,the spiritual leader of Tijaniya society in the state.
In a statement signed by his spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed,the governorship candidate described the late cleric as ” a true servant of Allah and a major pillar of peace and brotherhood within Osun state.As a highly respected Tijanni adherent, his influence extends beyond Osun to the worldwide community of Tijani scholars and believers.
“I express my heartfelt condolence to the people of Iwoland in particular over the demise of Sheikh Olododo.I specifically convey my commiseration to the Oluwo of Iwoland, Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi. The late Sheikh is a lover of peace, a spiritual leader who dedicated his life to stabilising the polity even in the face of turbulence and confusion”, the statement noted.
While praying for the repose of the soul of the deceased, Senator Adeleke also sent his condolence to the family of the late Sheikh ,urging them to hold fast to the path of Allah to which the late scholar dedicated his life.
Sheikh Olododo died in the early hours of Sunday at his Ori Eru residence at Iwo.
