Darius Ishaku Wins Governorship Election In Taraba
Mr. Darius Ishaku of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has won the Governorship election in Taraba State. The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC this morning declared Darius as the winner of the Governorship polls.
According to Professor Kyari Ahmed Ishaku INEC’s Returning Officer for Taraba State said Ishaku polled 369,318 votes to defeat All Progressives Congress ,APC Candidate,Senator Aisha Alhassan who polled 275,984 votes, while Candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) came a distant third with 29,985 votes.
According to INEC Ishaku won in 10 local government areas with accumulated votes of 369,318 at the end of the supplementary election on Saturday.
