The Commissioner for Information and Communication, Hon Dan Manjang has assured the Christian youths in politics initiative of government readiness in partnering with them to strengthen and promote the principle of encouraging the full participation of Christian faithful in politics.
Manjang made this disclosure during a courtesy call on him as the Joseph Gwomwalk secretariat in Jos.
He said the administration of Governor Simon Lalong is ready to encourage association with an objective mindset of bringing people together.
Hon Dan Manjang urged the Christian youths in politics initiative not to allow bad eggs amongst them to hinder their ideology or hijack their good intention but let them remain the focus.
He charged them to always vote for candidates with good track records of achievements so as Nigerians or everyone would enjoy the dividends of democracy.
According to him, they should go all out to reach out to Nigerians and create an awareness campaign toward improving participation of grassroots people on the right choice representative.
Earlier, Chairman of the Christian youths in politics initiative, Sam Chris explained their mission and vision of the association and said they’re seeking the cooperation of the Plateau State government to encourage the participation of Christian faithful in politics.
He said, the association they are willing to promote peaceful coexistence amongst all ethnic nationality in Nigeria, is nonpolitical with the sole aim of adding value to the system.
Sam Chris stated that as a baby organization they need financial support from the government, spirited individuals, and caregivers to enable them to embark on educating, enlightenment campaign across the 17 LGAs.
