D.G Bala Zakari Campaign Organization Debunks Link With Alternative Party By Rabiu Omaku,Lafia
Bala Zakari Adamu Director General campaign Organization has condemned in strong terms the widely spread grapevine pelted by in the state against the candidature of Baba Zakari vying for senate Nasarawa South district as a mere campaign of calumny.The D.G Magaji Samke described the rumors as frivolous going round within the party as a calculated attempt meant to jeopardize the popularity of the aspirant, Samke gave the hint during a press briefing held at Lafia Local Government PDP office along Makurdi road yesterday.
“This callous rumor of his linkage with another political party is indeed unfolded and very awkward, adding that the reaction of the campaign organization was to clear doubt in the minds of the people”.
Samke indicated that the candidature of Bala Zakari is a clarion call to bring back the lost glory of the opposition party in the state, The PDP,He further explained that the candidature of Zakari was to revived back the fortunes of the party which has dwelled down drastically .
“We are calling on rumor mongers and their sponsors whose political fortunes are no longer relevant to stop the witch hunt before it spell doom to the party and the person of Bala Zakari Adamu.
The D.G averred that their candidate has contributed a great measure to the sustenance of the party in Nasarawa south senatorial district, some of the contributions includes
1. Construction and donation of PDP party office in Adogi, Lafia Local Government
2. Renting and furnishing of PDP secretariat in Obi Local Government
3. Donation of generating sets to PDP offices in Doma, Awe and Lafia.
4. Funding/Contributions towards the election of some presently serving the legislators at both state and federal level.
5. Participation in the electioneering funding of some PDP aspirants in the zone.
6. Provision of state secretariat of PDP female Youths Supporters “DONT SAY BYE 2015, ONE MORE TERM FOR PRESIDENT GOODLUCK JONATHAN
7. Membership of the NIGERIA MANDATE FOR GOODLUCK JONATHAN Player NO.6.
Looking at the above mentioned tremendous contributions towards the sustenance of the party, The progress of a party will only be feasible if credible members who has party’s interest at heart like Bala Zakari Adamu.
It could be recalled that the teeming supporters of Bala Zakari Adamu and the current senator representing Nasarawa south, Senator Suleiman Adokwe engaged in a free for all fight at the party secretariat during a reconciliation meeting.
The clash between the supporters started when the incumbent senator was been harass and intimidated by supporter of Bala Zakari as youths in their multitude are chanting “Sai Bala Zakari “meaning Bala Zakari is our choice, This harsh statement foist the supporter of Senator Adokwe to re-strategize and retaliate”.
Party supporters in regalia were involved in a banter carrying deadly weapons like daggers,cutlasses,log of stick while others were seen carrying horns of animal and other poisonous portions, This took the intervention of the a contestant, Bala Zakari Adamu to quell the situation.
