Cut Down The Sizes Of Political Appointees, Reduce Security Votes-NLC Tells Al-Makura

The Nigeria Labour Congress has challenged Governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura to cut down the sizes of political appointees as well as to reduce security votes for easy running of Government business.

The chairman gave the indication while reacting over the recent appointment of forty one Senior Special Assistants, Special Advisers and Personal Assistants as a wastage of resource.

The organized labour called on the state Governor to go back to the drawing board by reducing overheads of ministries, parastatals and boards for effective running of Government activities.

The labour leaders stated in his continuation of reactions over the ongoing public announcement in Nasarawa Broadcasting Corporation, The labour in the state challenged the state Government to look for creative ways to move the state forward instead of embarking on propaganda to earn cheap popularity.
