Customs Establishes Community Relation  Forum in Jigawa

The Nigerian custom service Kano, Jigawa zone has established community relation forum with a view to curtailing the menace of insecurity and also avoid smuggling activities in the border zone ,through educating and enlightening the business groups in the north.

In a paper presented by the Jigawa state commissioner of police whom was represented by umar momoh said the issues of security in the country is not a one man responsibility, adding that it is the responsibility of everybody.

Adding that the most potent effective means of neutralizing criminals and other threats is close partnership among law enforcement agencies with the private security companies and business as well as community groups.

Explaining further he said that it is only through such partnership of the law enforcement agencies that there would be harnessing of the increasingly scarce resources to combat the existing and emerging threat to public safety because no nation can freely develop or overcome the force of instability and disintegration when it neglects the effective harnessing application of basic essential element of its security.

In another development the jigawa state police command has organized a one day enlightment  forum for the general public, also flyers was distributed to communities in the state and printed in Hausa ,Igbo and English with a view to helping the police to carry out their responsibilities in the state.
