Bauchi Central the All Progressives Congress, APC, Bauchi Central are in sort of crisis following the appointment of Engineer Zakari Dogo as its acting Vice Chairman.

In a letter written for the quick intervention by a group known as APC integrity Group (AIG), Bauchi Central Chapter and addressed to the State APC chairman, through the Zonal Vice Chairman, said; “It is expedient to first of all say the obvious, that we, officials and members of APC integrity Group (AIG), Bauchi Central, are compelled to draw the urgent attentions of the State Chairman, Members of the State Executive Committee, other Principal Officers of the Party (APC) and key players alike, as well as critical Stakeholders over a very dangerous precedent set by the State Secretariat, for appointing one Eng Zakari Dogo as Ag.Zonal Vice Chairman Bauchi Central. This single act and its aftermath, as well as potential dangers may translate to imminent conflicts and rivalries, already, there are confusions here and there, as a result of faulty approach to issues by the new Ag. Zonal Vice Chairman.

While such grievances are manifesting and now on the increase, there is the need to properly manage and control these areas, or if the level is allowed to rise, or left to assume wider dimension and scope, it may develop into a full – blown internal party crisis, capable of retarding the progress of APC, or even pull down the strong structures of the party built over half a decade ago. Where that happens, everyone else stands the risks of being under siege in the party and the consequences may not be very pleasant. In this circumstance, the irony is, the worst affected victim is always innocent card carrying loyal and law abiding party member at these critical stages of going back to the polls, when the general elections is just a stone’s throw to 2019.”

The letter signed by the following members, Alh. Abubakar Abare Dagauda DBM Chairman , Alh. Na-mairo Zakarai Burra NNG Treasurer, Adamu Dabo Typical Darazo DRZ Publ. Sec, Haj. Jummala Reza Ningi NNG W/Leader, Mal. Murtala Musa Tiyin WRJ L/Adv, Usman Lifidi Gidan Waya GJW Fin. Sec, Comrd. Magaji Ibrahim Hardawa MSA Secretary, stated further; “The new development is unfortunate and a very dangerous political game at a time when the whistle for a new political game is about to be blown. After all, the second term bid of Gov. M.A. Abubakar Esq. is very much around the corner, so why the crisis now? The so called mediation or reconciliation exercise initiated by the new Ag. Vice Chairman has now opened a CAN of worms and the writing is already on the wall. For example, the spectator politician has just unfolded his first hidden agenda to set a trap on one Yakubu Kafin Galadima, now penciled down for removal, to be replaced by a dishonest associate of the Ag. Zonal Vice Chairman, simply because Yakubu Kafin Galadima is Hon. Bappah Aliyu’s friend, this action is un-called for, and very unnecessary too.

As these complex intrigues fire on, Engr. Zakar Dogo has again gone far in Engineering fresh crisis, by making moves to at all cost recall, or re-instate a former Local Government chairman, Danladi Ari and cohorts (seven ward chairmen) from Misau Local Government and Nine (9) other ward chairmen from Dambam Local Government, all in the name of reconciliation, without even looking at the implications of these un-lawful acts, or due regard to due process as provided by APC’s constitution. Now, critical questions we shall continue to ask Engr. Zakar Dogo is, reconciliation with who, over what and why now? Perhaps the sycophant political Jobber (Engr. Dogo) and his surrogates (Ari and Sixteen) others from Misau and Dambam Local Government areas, are not in conflict with one another but themselves, fighting war without front, because we, in central zone are living peacefully. We neither have crisis, nor division or any form of misunderstanding amongst officials and members of the party.”

Furthermore, it accused the acting Vice Chairman, Dogo of  working Ahmed Yerima as it said; ”This is because officials and loyal members of the party across the zone don’t even know their fates, so, why reconciliation now? Why shouting fire where there is no smoke and why should Dogo insist on removing Yakubu Kafin Galadima, or why the attempt to re-instate Danladi Ari and other members of Ahmed Yerima’s group? Here, we sound a word of warning to the so – called mediator (Dogo), that any attempt by him or anyone to divide us will be stiffly resisted and we will follow all legal, as well as lawful means to decisively deal with the situation.

Similarly, it is also observed, that there are a lot of matters arising from actions or in-actions of the Engineer in Darazo, Warji and Ningi Local Governments where the spill–over effects and aftermath of Ganjuwa, Misau/Dambam problems haunt the sister local governments because of dust raised by the cash and carry politician.”

The letter dated 21sth January 2018,  went further to brand of Dogo of being a spectator politician and accused him of being under Ahmed Yerima’s payroll; The spectator politician (Dogo) is already on Ahmed Yerima’s payroll, so also receiving a stipend or some allowances from cohort power brokers. The hired political gimmickier is now executing a white–cola contract sponsored by these power brokers, in joint venture or political accord with members of operation finish and go, who dictate their terms and conditions as to how the Engr. is going to carry-out the job to logical completion, for a cheap contract sum, which is laughable. This is aimed at disorganizing APC in central zone, as it is crystal clear, that Engr. Zakar Dogo is going against the wishes of the majority in the zone, which is a very dangerous political game and an old fashioned behavior that has never succeeded anywhere round global democracies.

The State Chairman,

All Progressives Congress (APC),

State Secretariat,

Maiduguri Bye – Pass, Bauchi.

Through:-

The Zonal Vice Chairman,

Bauchi Central Zone,

Bauchi.

Sir,

SOLICITATION FOR QUICK INTERVENTION AND  PASSIONATE/PLEA TO SAVE THE SOUL OF CRISIS  RIDDEN BAUCHI CENTRAL APC

It is expedient to first of all say the obvious, that we, officials and members of APC integrity Group (AIG), Bauchi Central, are compelled to draw the urgent attentions of the State Chairman, Members of the State Executive Committee, other Principal Officers of the Party (APC) and key players alike, as well as critical Stakeholders over a very dangerous precedent set by the State Secretariat, for appointing one Eng Zakari Dogo as Ag.Zonal Vice Chairman Bauchi Central.

In this circumstance, the irony is, the worst affected victim is always innocent card carrying loyal and law abiding party member at these critical stages of going back to the polls, when the general elections is just a stone’s throw to 2019.

Here, we wish to without any fear of contradiction categorically State, that the genesis of our problem is the wrong steps taken by the State Secretariat of the Party to appoint Zakar Dogo without proper consultations with other critical stakeholders in the zone, this is a statement of fact which is unambiguous and very clear. Before the Engineer’s coming, the gospel truth is, APC in Central Zone was not in crisis, meaning, the problem we are facing is apparently an artificial one caused by Zakar Dogo.

The new development is unfortunate and a very dangerous political game at a time when the whistle for a new political game is about to be blown.

We neither have crisis, nor division or any form of misunderstanding amongst officials and members of the party.

There is cohesion, unity of purpose and peaceful co-existence across the six local government areas that make-up the central zone.

However, the irony is, soon after the disorganized Ag. zonal vice chairman came, things took multi-dimensional positions which generate hews, cries, and general apathy, translating to worries, fears, ill-feelings, distrust, frustration, trauma and agony amongst party members.

This is because officials and loyal members of the party across the zone don’t even know their fates, so, why reconciliation now? Why shouting fire where there is no smoke and why should Dogo insist on removing Yakubu Kafin Galadima, or why the attempt to re-instate Danladi Ari and other members of Ahmed Yerima’s group? Here, we sound a word of warning to the so – called mediator (Dogo), that any attempt by him or anyone to divide us will be stiffly resisted and we will follow all legal, as well as lawful means to decisively deal with the situation.

Similarly, it is also observed, that there are a lot of matters arising from actions or in-actions of the Engineer in Darazo, Warji and Ningi Local Governments where the spill–over effects and aftermath of Ganjuwa, Misau/Dambam problems haunt the sister local governments because of dust raised by the cash and carry politician.

We wish to by the same token say, people are closely monitoring the trends and carefully watching the recent developments in the party, sparked, or triggered by the hypocrite politician (Dogo) who is going too far and even beyond the red-lines. Let Zakar Dogo note, politics is not about installation of power transformer or JETCO Metre, rather, is about people and events and a game of number. The spectator politician who is a man of double standards, now sitting on the fence openly sabotaging the party, should take note that he is bound to fail. The Engr, changing colour like a chameleon is by implication trying to systematically and tactfully pull down APC’s structures in central zone when election is only one year away.It is our perception that the Ag.

Zonal Vice Chairman is only trying to clear way for PDP, which is already a sinking ship or NNPP, the brand new darling bride of Zakar Dogo’s political master (Ahmed Yerima). The political jobber and casual labourer politician has signed a contract with client power brokers to execute a project in the bid to put APC in total disarray, by extension complete destruction through attempts to split or factionalize the party for members of his syndicate and swindler groups to spread their tentacles, who (Dogo) is all out to re-open a new chapter of in-house opposition in the bid to plant NNPP or the so-called strongest opposition party in Africa (PDP), which is a moon light story that doesn’t hold water.

The spectator politician (Dogo) is already on Ahmed Yerima’s payroll, so also receiving a stipend or some allowances from cohort power brokers.

After all, Dogo doesn’t even know how and when the political journey started, even as he was once a member of the so–called convener group, who is now out to fuel internal party crisis.

We advise him to go back to political drawing board, re-trace his routes and should also go back to class. Let him attempt to contest even a councillorship election in his Hardawa Ward, Misau Local Government area. We strongly believe no single individual, or a small group can be an Island, or stay away from the majority and think can entirely survive on his own without the support, cooperation and contributions of others. Be–that as it may, whether Zakar Dogo is sitting on the fence or not and whether he stays away or joins the majority, one thing is however very clear, that Engr. Dogo is bound to fail if he continues to behave the way he does, who can’t even see beyond his nose for lack of focus and loss of political sense of direction, an amateur politician that lost touch with time and people of the central zone. The Ag. Zonal Vice Chairman is a dying political old horse making his last kick, who also wants to die with others.

And no one is left in doubt, trust is a burden, but here is a man coming from nowhere or just out of the blues with a hidden agenda under guise of reconciliation, trying to blind fold us at the eleventh hour when the political train has already pulled the band wagons towards 2019 terminal point. Supposedly, Engr. Zakar Dogo ought to have by now gone far, had he joined the train earlier, but was left at station in a vacuum, who should take note, the issue of reconciliation in our zone, in case there are real conflicts and if genuinely initiated, is not complicated so long as it is done in good faith. After all, an articulate and true reconciliation is not about money, rather, it is about sympathy, physical appearance, practical social interaction, level-headedness, decency, tactful approach, good manners, soft-mindedness, truthfulness, fairness and faithfulness in what you believe. Reconciliation at grass-roots such as central zone is simple, because politics is local and also symbolical, or psychological as it is a sign of love and about embracing a lover, who is at home with you. It is neither about advance–free-fraud, nor breach of trust, or deception and concoction of unprecedented evil, which is Engr. Zakar Dogo’s own brand of reconciliation. Encouraging rebellion on leaders is the symbol, trade-mark and identity of the brand new Ag. Zonal Vice Chairman Bauchi Central, whom we wouldn’t like to address prodigal son of APC.

Incidentally, no responsible loyal member of the party in central zone or elsewhere in Bauchi State would want to mortgage his people for a bloody cup of tea or a loaf of bread. The bread and butter politician (Dogo), who shops around for highest bidders should take note, our conscience is not for sale. It will be a disgraceful act for a member of the party such as the Ag. Zonal Vice Chairman to travel all the way to Abuja, in search of greener pastures, but coming down so low to end-up feeding on crumbles on Ahmed Yerima’s dining table, sleep in motor garage or Yerima’s car park to finally receive a chicken change from a supposedly Rt. Hon. yet come back home claiming in pretentious mood “ we are with Barrister,” which is very shameful and a sign of hypocrisy, as well as breach of trust. The funny politician and prostitute praise–singer has signed another contract with members of the opposition PDP such as Abdul Ningi, Abdul Gwaram, proxies of Dandija and son (Sallau), one Wambai, a candidate of PDP for State Assembly from Hardawa constituency in Misau Local Government and the rest. In all honesty, compelling demands dictate there is urgent need to save the soul of the Central Zone APC, in view of the political realities of present day Bauchi Central and issues of the moment in the party, coupled with our desire to partake in salvaging the situation, being our token contributions to the task of releasing our people from the shackles of dishonesty by a feudal vice.

We come to terms with reality and say, if it were last two months, we wouldn’t have wasted our time writing this and similar letters because, during the tenure of Bappah Aliyu, the immediate past elected zonal vice Chairman, these issues couldn’t have arisen, for, Bappah performed exceptionally well. He didn’t do any act contrary to the wishes of party members, he neither fomented trouble, nor brought about conflicts or rivalry in the party, for that reason, our common lots did not witness the kind of blunders we are witnessing today. Hon. Bappah played the game according to the rules, as there was cohesion, unity of purpose, understanding and absolute peaceful –co-existence amongst members of APC family in central zone during his time, so, why crisis now? The story in just two months has now changed, which is very sad and this problem will continue to haunt all of us, if answers to our questions are not provided. After all, we know for a fact, that Zakar Dogo can never add value to Governor M.A. Abubakar’s second term bid, instead, the Engr. has what it takes to connive with our opponents who are desperate in trying to sabotage our candidate (M.A.) and the party (APC). Of course, democracy, a game of numbers is about people and events, and so also about give and take.

There is no gain saying the fact that APC is in dire need of more people, that is true, but we have to be extra careful not to embrace the deviant ones, but there is nothing too peculiar if warring factions reconcile, on that note all comrados in politics are free to come together. Even as we need more people, it is however pertinent to note, that there are exceptional cases where some people are only interested in causing conflicts and rivalries, who must not board the political train. Meanwhile, it is our common resolve to do all the needful and make sure we confront and defeat the daunting challenges ahead. It is however, the prerogative of the party leadership at higher levels to treat our case as appropriate. But is equally important to handle this delicate issue not only with utmost care, but also with dispatch and seriousness, devoid selfishness. Our plea must not be neglected or driven by ordinary wave of hand or I don’t care attitude, we want peace, a stitch in time saves nine. We can’t afford to play the coming new political game in a hostile environment, when the horizon is also apparently cloudy. Our heart is already bleeding for central zone’s in – house party crisis which is from all indications an artificial one.

It is expedient to note, time is almost against us, so if normalcy doesn’t return, we may not stand vertical to face the emerging challenges, the people of central zone are watching, our learned teacher history is watching and posterity the judge is also watching all architects of our problems. Let us be proactive and our humble advise to the State Secretariat is, leaders be kind enough to reverse their earlier decision and cancel Engr. Zakar Dogo’s appointment as Ag. Zonal Vice Chairman.

Needless to over blow the importance of peace and the need to preach the gospels and doctrines of fairness and justice in effecting the change with immediate effect. It is an undisputable fact, that the beauties or success of our struggles towards the 2019 general election lies very much in the hard work of our Executives and loyal card carrying members of the party (APC) across the zone. The disloyal, and the jobless ones, have no political sense of direction who are only following on the trail of sabotage and breach of trust. In fact those that smuggled and imported the Engr. to join the State Exco have a case to answer even before The Almighty Allah. We should please join our hand together to salvage the situation and save the soul of this young political baby (APC) in central zone which is regarded to be still in cradle, otherwise APC is a finished party in Bauchi State.

In the wake of prevailing circumstances, we are making passionate appeals to Mr. Chairman and all concerned to please ensure that Engr. Zakar Dogo is asked to relinquish his new seat as Zonal Vice Chairman or statisquo be maintained, meaning, Hon. Bappah Aliyu should step in, to hold two positions and continue as elected Zonal Vice Chairman, because it has ever happened in history, that Zakar Dogo held, and in still holding two positions, but two wrongs cannot make a right. In the alternative, both Hon. Bappah Aliyu and Zakar Dogo should relinquish the Chair of Zonal Vice Chairmanship for a neutral person to emerge in the interest of justice and fair play so that we can have peace. For the records, one of their own from Misau, in person of Mohammed S. Koli once upon a time had the opportunity to vie for the office of the Zonal vice Chairman Bauchi Central, during the 2013/2014 congresses, but lost to Hon. Bappah Aliyu, who (S. Koli), has from the remote and very beginning been a loyal party member and supporter of this government. In our humble opinion, for justice to reign supreme, choosing Mohammed S. Koli to take over from the two fighting elephants silently fighting. This will be the best option, otherwise the APC crisis which was fuelled by Engr. Zakar Dogo, the Ag. Zonal Vice Chair and now Chairman State Development Board will continue to divide us, or if care is not taken may consume all of us. Finally, no one is left in doubt the existence of the party and pursuit of the second term bid of Governor M.A Abubakar Esq. is paramount and also above our personal, or selfish interest. The interest of the party, indeed that of government of the day supersedes our personal goals, a word is enough for the wise.

In conclusion, we wish to once again appeal to the State Chairman and all APC stakeholders to please, in the name of Allah intervene and quickly salvage the situation. While assuring Mr. Chairman of our determination to stand behind leaders of the party and present administration, our conviction is unshaken, commitment total and loyalty absolute, Ma’ssalam.
