The All Progressive Congress (APC) Bauchi State branch has removed Alhaji Uba Ahmed Nana as Chairman APC Bauchi State for his alleged romance with Governor Mohammed Bala Abdulkadir and inability to led the party to victory during 2019 general elections.
Speaking on behalf of APC Bauchi State, stakeholders and the National body of the party, during a press briefing Wednesday, Alhaji Ibrahim Ago said his election was illegal because it’s bridged APC constitution and by laws.
He said, “the Chairman was just appointed by some few individual and not elected hence there is need for his removal in office to pave way for peace and restructuring in the party.
He further accused him for his inability to win the 2019 Governorship election, adding that up to date the party has lost it direction, focus and inability to challenges the wrong doings of the present administration.
He alleged that the chairman is busy romancing with government of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and supporting it’s activities in the state.
He said, “I want to tell you that from today, Alhaji Uba Ahmed Nana seized to be our APC Chairman in Bauchi State and I am please to inform you that Alhaji Aminu Danborno has replace him as APC Chairman Bauchi State”.
Alhaji Danborno is the current APC Chairman Shira Local Government Area in Bauchi State.
Also, in his remarks, Alhaji Rabiu Danbaba Chairman APC Bauchi Local Government Area said Alhaji Aminu Danborno was endorsed by all APC stakeholders to be it’s acting Chairman following his track records of sincerity, transparency and prudent in administration of Justice.
“We want to repair APC in Bauchi State, we are not ready to decamp to any party. All we are saying is that that our 2018 election was illegal, we are calling on Uba Ahmed Nana who is parading himself as Chairman APC Bauchi State to desist from doing so, he is not the Chahirman and we remove him today for his romance with the presents government”.
Those in attendence at the press briefing include, twenty Local government APC Chairmen, Youths leaders, zonal youth leaders, delegates and APC stakeholders
In his response to his removal from office as APC State Chairman Alhaji Uba Ahmed Nana said that his removal from office is illegal and beside he cannot just be remove like that because his election followed due process in 2018.
He said those who removed him from office that they do not have the capacity to remove him from office because he was not elected by them.
“I know some of them were local government leaders before 2018, but they were unable to return as local government exco and they have no right, power to remove me in office”.
“I will not response to them property because they are ordinary members under a group and a group similar to their own capacity would respond them later in the day. I appreciate the media for been objective in this regard, I remain the substantial Chairman of the APC in the State.
The Chairman was flagged off by all his exco members and some elders in the party during the press briefing.
