Jigawa PDP maybe heading to a storm as crisis is set to engulf the party following an alleged handpicking of Bashir Dalhatu Walin Dutse as the party’s flag bearer for 2015 Governorship election by Governor Sule Lamido.
Universalreporters gathered that from a reliable source, that Governor Sule Lamido, was in Abuja on Thursday together with Bashir Dalhatu where Alhaji Bahir Dalhatu picked his Expression of Interest form and Nomination form to contest for governorship 2015 election in Jigawa, according to the source the whole scenario has put up a crisis situation among the candidates who are in the party wanting to contest for the 2015 governorship election in the state, after hearing that the Governor has handpicked a candidate to fly the party’s flag for the 2015 guber election in the state.
According to the source, the whole situation has put the candidates in the party, who are desirous of contesting for the Party’s ticket for the Governorship election into trying to make a change as some of them are considering leaving the party to other parties in order to achieve their aspirations rather than staying in the PDP where they will only do the bidding of the Governor to support his anointed candidate.
The source told this medium that; “the chief of staff, Malam Aminu Ringim who recently announced his resignation as the Chief of Staff Government House, did so because he wanted to contest for that Governorship seat, in fact the Chief Of Staff’s Wife had already organised a mini party in Ringim following speculation her husband was announced by the governor to contest for governorship under the PDP in the state.”
It was also gathered that thousands of supporters of the former of Chief Staff, who have celebrated on the streets of Ringim on Wednesday following the speculation that the Chief of Staff has been choosing as the governorship candidate were disenchanted when they got the information that  the Governor has handpicked Bashir Dalhatu as the PDP Guber candidate for the 2015 general election; according to the source; “that announcement did not only aggravate people from Ringim Emirate it also touched the minds of people from Hadajia, Gumel and Kazaure Emirate as they said that Sule Lamido having spent  years, ought to have handed the reign of power to another person from another emirate other than handing it over To Bashir Dalhatu from the same constituency as his, saying it is undemocratic.”
According to the state’s political history it is on note that Kazaure Emirate has done Governorship for a period of eight years, Dutse also eight years but  Gumel and Hadejia are yet to have a short at the Governorship seat of the state, as they have only been deputy since the creation of the state, even as Hadejia is said to have the emirate is the largest in population followed by Dutse Emirate.
People from Hadejia Emirate of the opinion that Lamido did not favour Hadejia Emirate in totality as  there was not any single projects executed by his administration, even as people from Gumel Emirate who were dreaming that it will be their turn now to have a shot at the Government House, has their hope dashed as their son who has been a deputy Governor in the last seven going to eight years under Lamido thinking the mantle of Governorship will be handed to him, it was not so as he was asked to contest for a Senatorial seat in his Senatorial District.

Meanwhile, it was gathered for fear massive decamping from the party to another party Governor  Lamido allowed Bahir Adamu Jimbo to contest for his former seat again as they sensed that if they abandon people like him in the party,  a person who has the support of his people will make a lot of people to leave the party.
