Worried by the political rumbles and trading of blame, blackmail within the People Democratic Party (PDP), Plateau State Chapter, ousted PDP National leader, Sen. Ali Modu Sheriff faction in Plateau may soon be on the streets for another round of crisis following the failure of Hon Damishi Sango to nip and to handle some critical issues of dialogue as well as out of court settlement.

Our sources reliably informed this medium that after the Supreme Court judgment which is supposed to settle their differences, the state chapter has refused to accept them by instituting legal battle against the defeated Sen. Ali Modu Sheriff faction.

This information stressed they the sitting at JMDB court in Jos North Local Government Area presided by Honourable Justice Parbong on the 27th September 2017 was later adjourned to 25th October 2017 for the continuation of hearing into the matter.

However, it was gathered that each of the faction has claimed to be the authentic chairman of the party, as group loyal to both Hon Damishi Sango and Hon Gyang Badung has continued to drum support ahead of the scheduled council poll slated for 18th February 2018.

Our source also told us that the Hon Gyang Badung faction has concluded arrangement to flag-off electioneering campaign across the local governments and to hold parallel primaries even as he is seen to be promoting the credible election of free and fair exercise.

Information reaching medium disclosed that activities of Hon Badung group would have started earlier than now but was delayed due to some hitches that have hindered their progress including the recent ongoing litigation which had lasted for close to five months.

However, Justice Parbong in the earlier ruling we gathered that urged the two factional leaders to maintain their status co but the Badung group expressed concern for the inability of the Hon Damishi Sango to adhere to the court pronouncements.

So it is clear that the Hon Badung led faction are battle ready to embark on massive awareness campaign across the length and breadth of the 17 LGs to gear up its supporters for the forthcoming election.

According to our source, Badung leadership has planned to visit the PLASIEC chairman to intimate him on their open plan to stage a rally and to submit their court processes which are lingering on and is pending before Justice Parbong in the Plateau magistrate court sitting in Jos.

It would be recalled that the state ministry of Justice Plateau state had issued the Plateau state Police Command to urgently investigate the attempted assassination of the state PRO of Ali Modu Sheriff faction which the investigation is still ongoing at the criminal investigation department state headquarters.

Meanwhile, the state PRO of the PDP, Hon John Akans confirmed the ongoing litigation at the JMDB court adding that the judge was absent and the matter adjourned.

However, further attempt to get clarification from Hon Gyang Badung group proved abortive as his phone number didn’t connect as at the time of filing this reports.
