CP  Oladunjoye Assures Of Zero Tolerance In Fighting Corrupt Officers In Plateau

nigeria-police-logo_0-2BpppppThe Plateau State Commissioner of Police, Adekule Oladunjoye has assured of his  zero tolerance to   corrupt officials  and fighting the menace within the workforce  .

The commissioner of Police made this known during his first courtesy call to Plateau state chapter of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) On Monday in Jos.

 

Oladunjoye emphasized the important of media in nation building and promoting partnership with them for the development of the society.

According to him, his office will partner with the media in providing security to the Plateau people by seeking the cooperation of all the professionals trained journalists through objective reportage.

Oladunjoye disclosed that he was posted into Plateau state as the young cadre officer in early 80s and had read a lot about the state through the broadcast and print media.

He offered himself to be available in building synergy with the media on community policing and man power development in the state.

Oladunjoye charges media to always cross check their facts before going to press so that it would help in reducing area of conflicts.

Responding, the Chairman of NUJ, Mr Yakubu Taddy expressed desire to work with the new commissioner toward promoting peaceful coexistence in the state.

He added that the visit was an indication that the Commissioner demonstrate high  level of humility and willingness  to work with the media to achieve total peace.

According to him, without peace nobody will be sitting here to deliberate on any issue but peace remains the only panacea to the progress of the society.

Taddy appealed to the commissioner to educate his men on how to control his men in a  function where there is  media men  ,adding that the challenges of re-inventing a new policing and equipping them for better service delivery in handling internal security is the great task.
