The youths who chanted all kinds of war songs, matched to the State Security Agencies (Imo Police Command Headquarters and State Department of Security Services) in Owerri, requested that Sen.Rochas should be called to order in his unstoppable and unwarranted public assaults and harassment on the Rebuild Mission led administration of Gov.Emeka.

Reading according to their placards: “Rebuild Mission Govt. will resist trouble makers, opposition should only criticized constructively, Okorocha is now a Senator, he should allow Ihedioha to rule Imo State, Sen.Rochas should allow peace to reign in Gov. Ihedioha’s govt. and oppositions should be very careful, let there be peace, amongst others inscriptions “.

Speaking on behalf of the youths, the Speaker of the Parliament, Amb. Comr.Smith Stanley Nwama, who is also the Chairman, National Youth Council in Imo State, expressed dissatisfaction over what he described as incessant harassment of the present govt. by Sen.Rochas Okorocha.

He therefore warned the immediate past Imo State Governor, Chief Rochas to stop such actions from henceforth.

” We are Imo youths, and we must protect the leadership mandate of Gov. Ihedioha as he was officially announced as Governor by INEC and was also sworn-in as Governor of the state. Anybody who felt aggrieved should go to Court to seek redress. No man is an island. Imo is our only state in Nigeria. Let the immediate past Governor allow peace to reign in Imo State”, he submitted.

At the Police Command, the PPRO, Chief Godson Orlando Ikeokwu, told the protesting Imo youths not to take laws into their own hands.

“We have registered your complaints and grievances, and we are very passionate to ensure absolute peace and tranquility reign supreme. Yes, off course, we are to protect lives and properties of all the citizens”, Chief Ikeokwu assured.
