COPDEM Welcomes Mr. Peter Obi To The African Democratic Congress (ADC)

The Coalition for the Protection of Democracy (COPDEM) warmly welcomes His Excellency, Mr. Peter Obi, as he joins the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

In a statement signed by Prince Rwang Pam Jnr. the Chairman  COPDEM National Secretariat said; “This milestone aligns shared values of integrity, inclusion, accountability, and people-centered governance. Mr. Obi’s decision reflects a commitment to principled leadership, rejecting politics without conscience and governance without compassion. His record of prudence, transparency, and fiscal responsibility mirrors the hopes of millions seeking a Nigeria that serves all citizens.

“COPDEM, dedicated to defending democracy, rule of law, social justice, and the people’s mandate, recognizes Mr. Obi as a true partner in these ideals.

“We assure Mr. Obi of our full support: over 5 million COPDEM members stand with you, joined by more than 20,000 who have registered with the ADC.

We endorse your leadership and vision for a New Nigeria that is possible.

The ADC welcomes not just an individual, but a movement of hope driven by youth, workers, professionals, and the marginalized—united around competence, character, and capacity.

Your alignment signals a new political culture: service over self-interest, solutions over slogans, unity over division.

COPDEM commits to supporting the ADC through mobilization, civic engagement, voter education, and defending democratic values.

Together, we will steer Nigeria toward hope, productivity, and shared prosperity.

Mr. Peter Obi, welcome to the ADC family of progressives and patriots—a coalition you helped nurture.

Welcome to the struggle for a better Nigeria.

Welcome to history in the making.
