Convener, Kaiciid Dialogue Centre International, Suleiman Advocates Govt Policy To Address Drug Peddlers, Early Warning

The Convener, Kaiciid Dialogue Centre international, Alh Sani Suleiman has advocated for government programs and policy that can address early warning and identify areas were peddlers are selling by   raiding their shops for those that are distributing the dangerous drugs within the cities.

 

 

The event was organized by National Council of Muslim Youth Organization, NACOMYO,in collaboration with King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz International Center for interreligious and intercultural dialogue ,KAiCID, theme : Interreligious dialogue on youth violence and drug abuse ,

 

 

Sani Suleiman said the major challenges of insecurity, drugs addiction in Jos Local Government Council since the returned of democracy people are yet to enjoy the dividends of democracy.

 

According to him ,many of our youths both Christian’s and Muslim youth have form themselves into syndicate by  engaging in crimes and criminality but their parents still in support of their act .

 

He called on the two  communities to  agree on how  to fish out those selling drugs causing civil unrest in Jos Local Government Area of Plateau state.

 

 

Suleiman frowned at the rising reported cases of drugs abuse and violence attacks on innocent citizens which is not only peculiar to Jos North but is a global phenomenon .

 

Sani Suleiman made an appealed to the Council to find solution to this violence  conflict which is gradually eroding our communities where in  developed community they had a group of personnel who go about address what is responsible for  sparking social menace.

 

The meeting culminated into town hall discussion ,youth violence and cultists ,media interface group within various  community’s leaders to find solution to were young people consume all these dangerous substance leading to some of them committing suicide .

 

The Director of News NTA Jos Alhaji ,Sani  IBN Salisu said the major problem affecting Jos  North is the issue of  Cultistism and Sarasuka all of them joint forces to be attacking  the society and the elders who are custodian of parenthood   have abandon their responsibility of building  the home

 

 

We  left these children roaming about on the streets.

 

He accused parents ,guardian for  neglecting their children without given them  proper home training which the society is gradually becoming worst .

 

Dr Salis Abdulsalam  charged parents to preach peace and discourage the consumption of drugs which he said is ravaging our state headquarters.

 

He challenged those in authority to  begin wide  consultation with the leadership of various ward heads to tackle rising cases of killing .

 

The Chairman of the LGA ,Hon Bala Shehu urged the people to support and cooperate with the government for the progress of the state .

 

He solicited for the cooperation of all stakeholders to unite against the youth restiveness.
