Constitute A Committee Of Monarchs To Ensure Prompt Payment Of Salaries -Maku Advices Buhari

The erstwhile minister of Information, Labaran Maku has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to as matter of urgency come to the rescue of civil servants in Nasarawa State.

The governorship flag bearer of the All Progressives Grand Alliance in the 2015 election stated this during a press briefing shortly after the burial of Pa Akwashiki Ezhim a veteran and founding father of Alushi Health Centre.

Maku appealed to the President to set up a committee of Traditional rulers for the payment of salary to workers, the former Information minister added.

Maku sympathize with workers over the unabated percentage payment as well delay in payment of monthly salaries, describing the experience has unhealthy to the wellbeing of civil servants.

The erstwhile minister of Information expressed dissatisfaction over the plight of not only workers but also pensioners who put in their best for the interest of the state.

“Our mission is to bring an end to the regime of percentage payment of salaries which he said the current situation plunged the state into hunger and stagnation”.

Calling on electorate to have a rethink by voting the rightful candidate and party come 2019, adding that he won the 2015 governorship election with an overwhelming victory but was denied the mandate.

“In the last Local Government election the ruling All Progressives Congress won election in only 5 Councils.
