Concerned Citizens Reject Nasarawa Guber Elections, Describes Exercise As Daylight Robbery

Concerned Citizens Group in Nasarawa State has called the attention of the international community and true lovers of democracy to come to their aid over what they describe as daylight robbery of their mandate during the last Saturday’s governorship and state assembly elections in the state.

The leader of the group, Honourable Ibrahim Dallah, in a statement on Sunday, lamented that voters were disenfranchised, results manipulated, ballot boxes snatched during the exercise.

The statement reads: “This is calling on the international community and true lovers of democracy to come to the aid of democracy in Nasarawa State.

“The PDP clearly won, but were robbed of the victory. “How can the total number of cancelled votes be more than the total number of accredited voters?

“The will of the people must prevail. Where ever PDP was winning, they changed the figures to favour them. This is the trend across the state.

“Below for example is their shabbily concocted result for Karu Local Government Area: Accredited voters/ 54360. Total vote cast /53903. APC=23207. APGA=5967. PDP=21967.  Cancelled votes 95104.

“Pray for Nasarawa State, Pray for His Excellency Rt. Hon. Davematics David E Ombugadu.”
