College Of Education Akwanga To Adopt The Use of CCTV Cameras To Tackle Examination Malpractice- Provost

The Management of College of Education, Akwanga, Nasarawa State irked over the rising spate of examination malpractices in the institution said it will adopt the use of Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) cameras in examination halls.

Dr. Rebbeca Isaac Umar, the Provost disclosed this during the 2018 matriculation exercise of the College.

She added that the management has taken stringent measures due to the alarming rates of examination malpractice.

Urging the students to be attentive to lectures as 75 percent attendance was the prerequisite to write examinations.

The Provost warned the students to desist from indulging in other social vices such as; cultism, drugs abuse, offering sex/money gratification for mark, indecent dressing among others as a serious offence.

Saying any students caught contravening the laws of the College would face disciplinary action or face expulsion from the College depending on the students’ level of involvement.

Dr. Rebbeca Isaac Umar disclosed recently that 3, 360 students were matriculated for 2017/2018 academic session.

She therefore wished the students well as they begin another journey in their academic career.
