President of the church of Christ in Nations (COCIN) Rev. Amos Mohzo has urged Nigerians to vote individuals and not political parties in the forthcoming general elections 2023, as at least a total of 222 students graduated with masters of divinity, bachelor of divinity degrees, diploma in theology and certificate in Christian religious education made it for the graduation.
The President of COCIN made the call during the 38th convocation of the Gindiri Theological Seminary in Mangu LGA of Plateau State, Nigeria.
According to him, “Am awesome for galleries of these clergies’ men and women after completing their post-graduate studies in the various fields of theological education as they were told that the knowledge they acquire is not for self-aggrandizement but meant to touch lives towards building a great nation with the fear of God”.
The COCIN President, Rev. Amos Mohzo urged all the graduands to be steadfast in their service to God’s vineyard and also admonished Nigerians to pray for the peace and progress of the Land and to elect credible leaders in the forthcoming elections.
However, some of the graduands expressed joy and gratitude for the achievement made as they go into another phase of the world.
The Provost Gindiri Theological Seminary GTS, Rev. Prof.Gyang D.Pam on behalf of the management, the provost Rev. Prof. Gyang D.Pam welcomed the people at the auspicious occasion of the 38th convocation of the noble and highly esteemed theological seminary.
He thanked God for the success he bestowed upon them and also extended his hand of mercy, grace, favour, healing, and deliverance, he also said they saw God in all ramifications of their lives.
He further appreciates the leadership of COCIN and proprietors for sending reputable, capable, noble, dedicated and committed faculty members to the seminary saying it has no doubt given the school great success in the seminary.
He said Education is reckoned to be the passport to the future for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today, also stressing that a society experiences great transformation because of education.
The provost in his speech said the seminary has some achievements to bank on which includes:
-Approval of results by the university of Jos
-Completion of 2 staff quarters
-Fencing of the 2 biggest hostels(USA n Palang)Tongzong and
-Post Graduate studies programs DMIN/PHD.
He went ahead to say that the students need an ultra-modern library that will motivate, inspire, and rekindle research work in all dimensions in the seminary.
He later congratulated the graduands and charged them to be up and doing in other to yield positive results he also advised them not to put a full stop where God put a comma.
