CITAD/WETECH Organised Training For Women And Girls In Jigawa By Umar Faruq Usman,Dutse

CITAD and WETECH has organised a two week training on ICT  on the area of  entrepreneurship development for women and girls in Jigawa with a view to empower women and girls on ICTs in the state.
The training which took place at women centre in Dutse model international secondary school DNISS Jigawa was attended by the Deputy Director schools Jigawa state Ministry of Education Abdu Ahmed Madana and Deputy Director Science and Technology Malam Hamza Yahaya Aliyu.
In his welcome address the Executive Director of CITAD Engineer Y Z Yau who was represented by Programme Officer Malam Ahmad Abdullahi Yakasai stated that the training is aimed at capacity building for female teachers of secondary schools and empowering women to reduce the level of unemployment as well as facilitation of small scale enterprises for young entrepreneurs in the state.
Adding that the objective of the training is to trained women and girl on computer and related science opportunities and  for this reason the CITAD has incorporated the training of female teachers of secondary schools on ICT so that they could teach their students computer studies and other ICT based entrepreneurs which  consist of three modules namely basic ICTs skills advancement ICT and entrepreneurships skill as well as business skills on how to build their business
In her remark the Director Of Women affairs called on beneficiaries to prepare themselves for the training by being punctual and exhibit good behaviour throughout the duration of the training ; she also thank the CITAD for the initiative which she described as one approached to empower women and girls to curtail unemployment which will enable them to defend own on their own
