Christmas Celebration: CAN Donates Relief Materials To Dong Community Of Adamawa

In the spirit of this year’s Christmas celebration, a delegation of Christians Associations of Nigeria Adamawa state chapter (YOWICAN) and women wing of the association donates relief materials items to the people of Dong community of Demsa LGA area of Adamawa State who some weeks ago were attacked by Fulani herdsmen.

While Distributing the items to Hama Dong in his palace, the state Chairman of Christians Association of Nigeria (CAN), Bishop Stephen Dami  Mamza who is the leader of the delegation told them they are on a comfort visit and encourage them never to lose hope but believe God all things are working for the good of God’s people.

He reminded them that forgiveness is never an option to any hurt Christians, that they must forgive whoever under whatever reason their attacks has happened for them to be able to live a normal life.

Also In his words of comfort he consoled them that Christianity means “cross” which entails Many things and urged them to continue to pray Fervently for the peace and unity of all Adamawa State.

Dama call on the judicious sharing of the items to ensure it gets to intended people to ease and help them celebrate the Christmas stress less.

The head of the community, Hama Dong Mr. Jared Hanya appreciated CAN for the gesture pray God to bless them, he call on Bishop Mamza to ask Christians communities to pray for them as their still living of fear of attacks.

Seventeen bags of maize,Ten kg of fifty bags of rice, cartoons of vegetables oils, soaps, Maggie  cubes, clothing and shoes among many others.

In another related development 14 bulls were given to saint Theresa’s internally displaced peoples, IDPs, camp with the aim of making sure that the camp is food secured lacking nothing at this Christmas.

Handing over the bulls to Bishop Stephen Dami Mamza,the Director centre for social change and economic Alhaji Abubakar Mustapha said this the first  last lap of the distribution to internally displaced people.

He explained that they are aiming at restocking livestock in the insurgency affected areas of Adamawa state calling on the beneficiaries to make good use of the livestock.

Responding  on behalf of the Internally displaced person, Mamza thanked the food and Agriculture organization for economically empowering  the IDPs, he assured them that the bulls will be well utilize and taken care off.

He said the donations of the bulls’ shows that the IDP at saint Theresa’s have not been forgotten, promised that the bulls will be rared and yield multiply.
