Chairman HYPPADRC , Barr. Joseph  Irtaf Vows To Embark On People Oriented Projects

The chairman of Hydroelectric Production Areas Development Commission (HYPPADRC), Barr. Joseph Irtaf, has vowed that  the commission will continue to embark on people oriented  projects that will positively impact on the rural communities under its mandate.

He made the statements, Monday, at the formal commisioning and handing over of motorized solar boreholes to the communities of Jebu Miango, in Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau State.

“HYPPADEC is doing its best at ensuring the improvement in the living condition of communities within its working jurisdiction, amongst the states that are within its scope.

“I am happy to the first HYPPADEC projects in Plateau State.

We appreciate President Muhammadu Buhari, for making available the resources, to construct the borehole in Jebu Miango Bassa LGA,” he said.

The State coordinator of HYPPADEC,  Abubakar S. Tanko, said the commission has so far constructed 11 solar boreholes and some schools in Plateau State.

“Youths were also empowered, and very soon a school will be constructed for the Miango community,” he assured.

The Chairman, Bassa LGC, Hon. Stephen Igmala, whuke appreciating HYPPADRC, said now that a source of having clean water to the community, improved health is guaranteed.

“We must appreciate HYPPADEC for assisting the Bassa Local Government Council, by taking off the economic burden of constructing the borehole that will alleviate the sufferings of the rural people,” he said.

Hon. Igmala said the commission has provided electricity, water, motorcycles to some youths within the LGA, he further requested for more.

The Bra-Irgwe Rev. Ronku Aka (rtd), said they are happy that President Muhammadu Buhari and the leadership of the HYPPADEC, have remembered their people.

“Our people are very happy to have this project cited in our community,” he said.
