Business owners in plateau state have been advice to register with corporate affairs commission for registration of companies rules.
In key-note address delivered by Barr. Mustapha Muhammad Dogondaji ,head ,CAC Jos state office, at the commencement of enlightenment campaign on direct registration of businesses at the public ,private dialogue ,PPD ,organized by GEMs in Jos on Thursday.
He said,”the event is aim at continuation of the reform and sensitizing the people of Jos that applications for registration of companies can now be processed directly by the owners of the business or first directors” .
Also twelve trucks of fertilizer are ready for onward distribution to rural farmers in Plateau state
According to him, the commission has recently deployed a new registration software in collaboration with the federal ministry of communications technology which now makes it possible for accredited customers and the owners/directors of Business to carry out their transactions on-line without having to visit the commission.
Dogondaji emphasized that the second phase is dealing with registration for parts A,B and C which is almost completed while the final phase on post incorporation services will commence by the end of December,2014.
The permanent secretary,ministry of commerce and industry ,Mr Solomon .S.Dawal said the enlightenment dialogue would open the eyes of the would-be entrepreneurs to the benefits derivable from micro ,small and medium enterprises.
He stressed that the private on the other hand is good in selfless commitment, always in actions ,not mindful of time spent but mostly have no sufficient resources to execute.
Dawal noted that there is need for both the public and private sectors to come together and rub-minds for successes in businesses and economic growth of the state.
He added that the aims of the awareness campaign is to reduce poverty in Africa most populous country by increasing growth ,incomes and jobs across Nigeria.
According to him, GEMS3 supported by CAC to implement a national Business registration promotion campaign , promoting the benefits of formalization to increase business registrations in Nigeria .
Also creating awareness of regulatory reforms that make it easier, faster and cheaper to register a business in Nigeria ,he said.

The permanent secretary said, government want to increase new company registration by at least 6% by January2015.
