Bukuru Cattle Traders Association urge farmers and herders to agree on ranch to end killings

The Chairman Bukuru Cattle Traders Association in Plateau state, Alh Bala Mohammed has reiterated the need for farmers and herders to agree on ranch policy and also imbibe the spirit of peaceful coexistence.

He pledged the association support to federal and Plateau state government for the new  policy of grazing reserves and ranches .

Mohammed stated this at the Bukuru Market on Tuesday in Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau state .

He disclosed that the movement of cattle routes which was introduced by the European to allowed free movement of animals from Northern to southern parts of the country is still in existence .

Mohammed cautioned politicians against inciting ethnic and tribal conflict leading to lost of live and property in Nigeria but advice government to arrest and punish defaulters.

“we are appalling to avengers group in the Niger Delta to sheath their swords for the cooperate existence, love and tolerance to one another”

He employed government at all level to diversify the dwindling economic fortune through agriculture and animals husbandry to reduce the suffering of common man .

According to him, the Bukuru cattle market will boost the revenue based of Plateau state ,and if the state government can give adequate attention toward fencing of the market will reduce. Over dependent on oil.

Mohammed pledged their readiness to partner with the Plateau state government in enlightening the herders on the important  of ranches and grazing reserves to avoid farmers crisis.

Mohammed lamented the challenges of small arms and ammunitions  wreaked havoc has been the major infringement on human right in Nigeria and other Africa. Countries, he explained.
