The 1 million naira donation made by All Progressive Congress, APC Presidential aspirant, Muhammadu Buhari to the Imo State delegates has thrown the state chapter of the party into disarray.
The former Military head of State, who was in the state to woo delegates to vote for him met with the delegates at the Regent Hotels, Owerri, a ticket which their principal Owelle Rochas Okorocha the Imo State Governor is said to be running for also.
This medium learnt that owing to the large turnout of the party’s delegates during the visit of the former PTF chairman to the state, there was bewilderment between the party’s leadership and party delegates over how the money will be shared.
Buhari who recently launched a campaign on social Media to source funds for the primaries will be recalled had stated while picking his nomination form in October how he took loan from the bank to purchase the APC Presidential nomination and expression of interest form which cost 27.5 million.
