President  Muhammadu Buhari  has threatened  to sack any minister who are bent on sabotaging  the appointment  of board members  and agencies  when their  names  has  already  been announced getting  to one year  in office.

A press statement signed by the presidency made available to our correspondent in Jos, frowned at the attitude of ministers under his cabinet who are working hard to frustrate his efforts.

It would be recalled that President Buhari administration came on board in 2015 with the commitment to effect change in all ministries, agencies and parastatals to key into reforms and policies agenda transforming the country”.

The President  lamented  that federal  government  has approved  the names of the board and agencies  but these ministers refuse to announce them by playing  politics  with  the whole  issue, he statement read.

It’s in that effort those directives for appointments of substantive head of government institutions and agencies were to immediately come on board. But up till now, some of the ministers are sabotaging the effort of President Mohammad Buhari of non-compliance with the directive called for my urgent action.

The president recently gave and orders that before the end of the year twenty eighteen, all appointments of government heads of agencies and institutions are all made. But some ministers put deaf ears to the president instructions.

Investigation reveal that there are a lot of agencies and institutions of government that the heads are still occupying the office either on acting capacity or their tenue has expired but still maintain a stay on office. Some of these ministries are, Labour, health, Transport, Science and technology, education and the lists goes on.

This attitude is not just halting the progress implementation of Mr. President Agenda but it is also seen as sabotaging and frustrating his efforts.

There is an urgent call on the president to quickly swing into action by ensuring that the ministers comply with his directives.
