Breaking: Two Killed In A Fresh Attack By Suspected Gunmen In Plateau Community

At least two persons have killed in Wereng, Riyom after Diyan of Plateau State, as gathered by this medium the attack carried out by suspected gunmen who ambushed their victims last night while they were returning home and killed them.

Universalreporters247.com learnt that there were gunshots found on the bodies.

The last night killings in Wereng village of Plateau state, Riyom Local Government Area it was gathered was carried out by suspected gunmen which information available to this medium alleged that they were herders.

Information available to our correspondent from a source close to the affected victims in the village said the victims were ambushed along Kum-Wereng road without the rest of the Community knowing about it.

Plateau Youth Council Riyom LGA Chapter Chairman Solomon Dachung disclosed that the victims were discovered dead, on Monday morning by some villagers who raised the alarm.

Security authorities have confirmed the incident, but have not released details.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Plateau State Command, Matthias Terna, when contacted said; “The DPO told me he is at the scene and shall get back to me soonest.”
