A Federal High Court sitting in Jos the Plateau State capital on Friday granted an interim injunction restraining the recently conducted Local Governments Excos from parading themselves as executives members of the LGAs pending the determination of the substantive suit.
The LGAs concerned include Bokkos, Mangu, Kanke, Jos East, Jos South, Riyom, Lantang North, Lantang South, Barkin Ladi, Pankshin, Shendam, Basa and Mikang.
The suit which was filled by Dr. Jacob Dashe an ex-Council Chairman of Wase granted an interim injunction restraining order thereby stopping all the listed LGAs above over illegal conduct of Ward and local Government congresses as well as chairmanship elections.
Information available to this medium reveals that the exercise was marred by irregularities and doctoring of the list of delegates.
It was disclosed that the aggrieved party supporters approached the Federal high court led Dr. Jacob Dashe.
It was gathered that the court set aside the chairmen urging them to stop parading themselves as leaders owning to order of COVID-19 restrictions order that stopped people from assembling themselves in one place.
