Breaking: One Missing Chibok Girl Found In Sambisa

Information coming from Maiduguri, capital of Borno state in northern Nigeria, indicates that one of the missing Chibok girls who were kidnapped by Boko Haram has been found.

An activist and professor at the University of Maiduguri, Eve Biu, confirmed to BBC Hausa service about the development.

Professor Biu said the discovery of the child is the result of a confrontation between the Civilian JTF  and the insurgents at the forest.

Professor Biu said, “They took the girl out of the hands of fighters. ”

The report also stated that the girl is in the hands of the army in Dambuwa, until the completion of investigation on her.

Meanwhile, the chairman of the Chibok parents, Yakubu Nkeki has confirmed that one of the Chibok girls have been found.

In a tweet, also the leader of the #BringBackOurGirls group, Dr Oby Ezekwesili, stated that the chairman had confirmed that the said girl was a child of his neighbour.

Ezekwesili tweeted that the chairman of Chibok Association in Abuja, Tsambido Hosea-Abana has also confirmed the news about one of the Chibok girls found.

She urged the Nigeria Defence headquarters and the Nigerian Army to accelerate the process of confirmation of the allegedly found Chibok girl.

“Please accelerate the process of your confirmation of the alledegly found #ChibokGirl. We are all very anxious,” she had tweeted.
