Breaking News: Obasanjo Dumps PDP, Tears His Membership Card
Former Nigerian president Olusegun Obasanjo has dumped the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), saying he is no longer interested in the party as he is now a statesman, TVC News is reporting.
It was gathered that Obasanjo while renouncing his membership of the party, also tore his Party membership card.
Obasanjo made the decision when members of his party his Ward II in Abeokuta North Local Government Area of Ogun State visited him at his Hilltop mansion residence in Abeokuta.
It was gathered that the Chairman of the party in the ward, Alhaji Usman Oladunjoye, led the delegation, as the former President Ordered him to tear his (Obasanjo’s) PDP membership card at the meeting.
