Breaking News: Many Dead In A Twin Bomb Explosion In Adamawa

A twin bomb explosion has occurred at a busy market and a mosque in Mubi Adamawa State.

As gathered by this medium, many persons are feared dead in the explosion.

Universalreportersng.com learnt that the explosion that happened at a mosque in Wuro-Burode close to yan Gwajo happened on Tuesday afternoon when worshippers were observing their Zuhr(Afternoon) prayer.

As learnt the twin bomb explosion hit the popular second hand clothes and the foreign exchange lines and mosque.

The bomb which hit kasuwan Gwanjo in Mubi for the second time, according to a medical Doctor in Mubi General Hospital Stated that about 27 people are confirmed dead, while 56 are injured.

Meanwhile News Agency of Nigeria report that property worth millions of naira were destroyed.

Nema Co ordinator in Adamawa, Abani Garki has confimed the blast. Also Confirming the incident, the chairman of Mubi North Local Government, Alhaji Musa Bello, said the blasts occurred around 1 30 pm.

“All I can tell you for now is that I am on my way to the scene to help in evacuation of casualties. Nobody can tell you the number of dead and injured for now,” he said.

The Executive Secretary of Adamawa State Emergency Agency, Mr Haruna Furo also confirmed the blast but said there were no details for now.

A resident of Mubi, who simply identified as Buba, said the two explosions occurred in a mosque and a second hand clothes market.

“The blasts occurred at the Gwonjo market and a mosque about 20 meters away,” Buba said.

A blast at a mosque in the town in November 2017 killed about 50 people.
