President Muhammadu Buhari has terminated the appointment of the suspended Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal.
Also sacked is the is the Director General of the National Intelligence Agency, NIA, Ambassador Ayo Oke.
In a tweet by Presidential Media aide to the President, Femi Adesina, he said that President Buhari has also appointed Boss Mustapha as the new Secretary to the Government of the Federation.
The duo’s sack follows the recommendation of the panel of inquiry instituted chaired by Vice president Yemi Osinbajo on the investigation of the grass-cutting scandal and the discovery of funds at Ikoyi apartment.
Also in a statement by the Senior Special Assistant to the president on Media and Publicity, garba Shehu, the “president accepted the recommendation of the panel to terminate the appointment of Mr Lawal, and has appointed Mr Boss Mustapha as the new Secretary to the Government of the Federation. The appointment takes immediate effect.”
The statement said “PMB also approved the recommendation to terminate the appointment of Amb. Oke, and has further approved the setting up of a three-member panel to, among other things, look into the operational, technical & administrative structure of the Agency & make appropriate recommendations.”
