The Boko Haram group are currently on rampage in Gombe state, the insurgence who at the moment shooting and bombing sporadically were said to have entered Liji through Dadin-Kowa.
According to an eyewitness, the dare-devil group entered the town around 6.am this morning, as they begin to shoot sporadically forcing many people to run into the bush, scampering for safety.
“As I am talking with you now, many persons has fled their homes and have gone into the bush for safety.”
While the eyewitness who pleaded for his name not to be mentioned is speaking with universalreporters247.com on phone, sound of gunshots were heard as they are being fired.
However, the eyewitness told this medium that he could not ascertain if there are casualties or persons with injuries as a result of the attack.
According to the eyewitness, he said; “I can see Helicopters hovering around, I think they are those of the Nigeria security officials who may be making effort to repel the attack by the group.”
The said Liji town which is currently under attack is just few meters away from Gombe Local Government.
