Breaking: Fire Guts Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Bauchi Female Hostel

Barely two days after the convocation ceremony of the famous Abubakar Tafawa-Balewa University, Bauchi, Fire has gutted the female hostel of the University located at Yelwa campus.

The incident occurred this evening around 9.25 pm is already causing serious pandemonium in the school and its environs.

Even though source of the fire outbreak could not be ascertain but eye witness attributed same to electrical faults.

During the incident female students were seen running in panic to escape being burnt while residents had to rush to the scene for rescue mission.

Sound of fire service vehicles were heard going towards the direction of the hostel in an attempt to put off the fire in combination of the efforts of other security agencies.

Several calls to the university spokesperson Zailani Bappa for confirmation was not successful as he didn’t answer his calls.

Though no report of loss of lives and properties has officially been given as at the time of filling this report.
