The Federal High Court sitting in Lagos, has on Wednesday granted immediate past governor of Ekiti Ayodele Fayose with the sum of N50million bail bond.
The presiding Judge, Justice Mojisola Olatoregun said Fayose’s two sureties will present three years tax clearance.
He was also asked to deposit his International Passport with the court.
Fayose is standing trial over an 11-count charge bordering on money laundering, abuse of public office, criminal breach of trust and stealing, up to the tune of N6.9bn preferred against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
Meanwhile, the judge, said the ex-governor should be remanded in the prison custody pending the fulfilment of the bail condition.
