Information available to universalreporters247.com reveals that an Army Hilux Van which was in the convoy of Governor Umaru Al-Makura of Nasarawa State today involved in a fatal accident.
According to the information obtained by this medium, it is learnt that the Army Hilux van was the first vehicle in line among the convoy the governor.
The said Army vehicle was said to have rammed on an oncoming vehicle, the incident happened when the convoy was coming from coming Awe to Lafia, while the car that rammed was coming from Lafia to Awe.
The Hilux Van has six occupants of Army Personnel, out of the six; two were wounded and are in critical condition, infact a close source told this medium that the two army personnel were in a state of coma as there were ambulance neither is their medical personnel in the governor’s convoy.
There is also the absence of Road Safety personnel in his convoy.
The source told this medium that if there were medical personnel or ambulance in his convoy, the wounded officers would have been giving immediate treatment before conveying them to hospital.
It was gathered the incident happened around 6 pm this evening, and that it took the assistance of other security agents and civilians to lift up the somersaulted vehicle which rammed into an advancing car. The Hilux Van was damaged beyond repairs.
This medium gathered that as the time of filling this report, the six soldiers which include the two who are in state of coma, has been conveyed to the Dalhatu Specialist Hospital, Dash, in Lafia, even it was learnt from a close source that when the press got to the Hospital, the governor who was personally at the hospital stopped the Media from entering the hospital.
