President of the Madagascar Football Association, Ahmed has emerged Confederation of African Football, CAF’s new President.
The new President Ahmed defeated the Incumbent Issa Hayatou by 34 to 20 votes at the CAF election ongoing in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia’s Capital.
Hayatou’s loss means that his 29 years rule as CAF’s President has come to end and a new change of leadership has emerged for the first since 1988 when Hayatou took over as CAF President.
