Breaking: Agriculture Minister, Adesina Is Elected AfDB President

Nigeria’s Minister of Agriculture, Akinwunmi Adesina has emerged as the 8th President of the African Development Bank, ADB in a keenly contested election. Adesina defeated seven other candidates to win the election.

According to the result announced by the AfDB Group in its offiicial twitter handle AfDB_Group stated thus; Akinwumi A. Adesina of #Nigeria has been elected as the 8th President of the #AfDB, to assume office on Sept. 1. #AfDBAM2015
