The senior Corporate Communication Manager of the Yola Electricity Distribution center (YEDC) Mr. Kinsley Nkemeneme lamented how the insurgency attacks have affected the company income and power supply in the Northeast region of the company which comprises of Adamawa, Taraba and part of Maiduguri
.
Kinsley said that they have 15 functional business units in the northern part of Adamawa state,  but were destroyed down by the operation of the insurgents, the towns that were most affected are Mubi, Michika,Bama,Gombi and some southern part of Maiduguri.
“We lose an average of 15 million Naira every month as a result of these insurgents attack in the northern part of the state, that has also reduced the supply of power to affected areas because of many of our equipment has been vandalized” Kinsley lamented
Nkemeneme confirmed this to the member of the correspondents chapel at the conference hall of the company today (Wednesday) in Yola, still maintained that despite the societal ills that has been bedeviling the country but significant progress is always recorded with the new management came on board.
“The new company is positioned to satisfy customer and every customer must have the value of their money, we are a customer oriented company and we are here to give them the best”. He added
The manager is calling on all customers to be conscious of the light the consume by saving it through cautious way of minimizing the consumption, he also warned those posing as their staff by making the  illegal connection to desist because they contribute to many problems YEDC has inherited from the past company, a new sense of direction has been given to the company with a new vision.
“The general public should reciprocate our effort by prompt payment and stop using YEDC unaccredited staff, as our staffs are warned not to sabotage any effort of our esteem customers.”

“Don’t induce or gratify our staff everything to take care of their daily routine duties has been given to them.We provide them with enough logistic every day.” He warned
