Boko Haram is surely dying off despite persistence of Bombings attacks- SGF

The Secretary to the Federal Government of the federation (SGF) Engr. Babachir David Lawal has revealed that persistence of Bombings killing by  Boko Haramists  will soon die off despite increase of bomb attacks in recent times.

Lawal who made the disclosure during a commiseration visit to Adamawa state noted that the spate of bombings is signs that the insurgent group is displaying the last kick of a dying horse.

He urged the people to be security conscious, embrace community policing and be vigilant in studying movement of people especially strangers.

Lawal noted that the lacklustre attitude of the people towards security is mostly responsible for the wanton bomb attacks being experienced adding that those that are carrying out attacks on communities are also part of the communities.

” Boko Haram is a struggling dying Man that his injured head will soon be removed from its neck despite their persistence in Bombings our Brother and sisters in the country. I am calling on people to be security conscious in our communities, not hesitate to report any suspected person around”. Lawal said

“Community policing is the best form of protection to ourselves, I am calling on people to be much aware of the happening around our environment “. He added

While acknowledging the timely intervention of the state government, the SGF reiterated the federal government’s readiness to assist the state government with funds whenever necessary to alleviate the suffering of victims of any such incident.

In his remark, Governor Muhammadu Umaru Jibrilla Bindow of Adamawa thanked the president for his show of concern to the state during its times.

The governor noted that since the assumption of President Buhari as president, he has shown serious commitment towards ending the menace of Boko Hafam insurgency noting that his concern especially to the frontline states was well acknowledged.

He urged the people to be security alert at all times and report suspicious movements mad persons to security operatives for quick action.

Bindow reiterated his administration’s commitment in working with the security operatives to end the Boko Haram menace promising to foot the medical bills of the injured victims.
