Boko Haram Displaces 27,000 Persons In Nigerians, Cameroon Says NGO By Yakubu Busari, Jos

Twenty seven thousands internally displaced Nigerians  spread across the 36 states of the federation including the neighboring Cameroon Republic  have expressed concern over the  poor  deplorable conditions of their  living standard in the camps

Director Stephanos foundation, Mr Mark Lipdo and Tina Bawa Ministries International Media Mission outreach disclosed this at the IDP camp ,Zang commercial school ,Bukuru Plateau state.

Lipdo lamented the deplorable stage and poor conditions of internally displaced victims of Boko Haram in Borno ,Yobe Adamawa in the north east Nigeria.

He expressed worried over the plight of  the internally displaced persons  who are in  dire need of attention from National Emergency Management Agency ,Federal government ,state  and spirited individual to come to  their rescue.

Lipdo explained that the organization built tend to accommodate the internally displaced Nigerians from cameroun to new settlement ,as we are making this  arrangement there was attack in some communities ,we have huge population that fall back into Plateau state and because they  new nobody ,it is our organization that they came to .its became necessary that we acquired a place that we put them in ,that is how we acquired this area.

The former NYSC camp, we met the proprietor and he rented out to us and brought all the IDP here, he said.

In our medical screening we have registered 195 families and many more are arriving because of the high number, we came up with the idea of making it transit camp.

Our aimed is to integrate these people into a school in Jos for Two years now most children have not gone back to school, he added.

According to him, they partnered with the Tina Bawa ministries international to bring free medical treatment to the displaced camp in Plateau state.

Lipdo noted that the major challenges facing them that need prompt attention is malnutrition and chronic issue of kidney disease and recently there is fresh problem of pneumonia due to cold nature of Jos ,adding, hypertension B over 47 people have been diagnose with the case .

He emphasized that the program will last for four days and it is at the end of this exercise that we know how many people are affected.

Mrs Tina Bawa international ministries international appealed to come to the rescue of internally displaced people in the country and be their brother’s keeper.

She said, the ministry started as an outreach to the widows because her passion in girl child education to help empower them in their small businesses.

Mrs Bawa called on Federal, state government to assist these children who cannot afford to feed and go back to school.
