Residents of Bama and Gwoza  Local Governments in Borno State are currently scampering for safety, as the Boko Haram insurgents is said to have taken over the two towns following the sects dislodgment by the Joint Task Force, JTF from their camps in Sambisa Game Reserve. The two towns Gowza and Bama are situated along the Sambisa Forest Reserve which is also believed to the Boko Haram strongholds that has also seen many killings and destructions in recent times.

As gathered residents were seen making their way out of the two towns due to the influx of the sects into the two council area.
The inhabitants of the two towns are seen in garage in Muna garage in their large numbers as the spoke to reporters about the incursion of the Boko Haram members in the area. The run for safety have started since last week, according to some residents who spoke to reporters.
The residents who have made their way out of the two towns also said that they went through Dikwa through Muna road adding that they paid N7, 000 each to be transported to Maiduguri rather than the usual N300 fare as the Maiduguri- Bama -Gwoza federal road have been blocked by the JTF due to the imposition of state of emergency in Borno State.
As learnt from some residents  the Boko Haram are moving from house to house as they are giving warning letters to Christians and Civil Servants asking them to leave the town of Bama within seven days or jeopardize their lives by  staying in Bama.
