Boko Haram Burns Down 13 Houses In Adamawa Community

Over 13 Houses in Kaya, a village close to Gulak the headquarters of Madagali Local Government Area of Adamawa state was in the early hours of Tuesday razed down by Boko Haram insurgents.

Confirming the incidence the Deputy speaker of Adamawa state house of Assembly (ADHA), Hon. Emmanuel Tsandu who is also the lawmaker representing the area said the insurgents were repelled by the troop of the Nigerian army.

According to him, the soldiers killed one member of the Boko Haram terrorists, while one of the vigilante men was injured by the insurgents and was rushed to the Federal Medical Centre Yola.

“We thank God no life was lost.” He said

Also confirming the attacks, the Chairman of Madagali Local Government, Hon Mohammed Yusuf told our Correspondent that the soldiers played a very good role in repelling the Boko Haram insurgents.

He commended their efforts and called the attention of the federal government to beef up security in Madagali LGA and the surrounding LGAs as there are still pockets of attacks being recorded.

He lamented that more than half of the people are farmers who largely depend on farming activities to survive.

The incident which occurred at the early hours of Tuesday caused a serious chaos in the communities surrounding Gulak with apprehension that there could be other possible attacks.

All effort to reach authority concern proved abortive at the time of filling in this report.
