The Berom  Coalition Movement (BCM),has disclosed that after a careful assessment of the political atmosphere and manifestoes of all the Presidential Candidates the endorsed the candidatures the All Progressive Congress ,APC, for Saturday General Elections to support and vote for competence devoid of any sentiment attach ,on Sen. Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Sen. Kashim Shettima for the Presidency of Nigeria in the 2023 general elections.

The Berom Coalition Movement endorsing the candidacy  looking at the credibility of the personalities of Dr. NentaweYilwada Goshwe and Hon. Pam BotMang .

In statement made available to our correspondent in Jos ,by Mr. Francis Jamang (Leader) Mr. Bulus Yakubu (Chairman)  ,says the APC programs and documented plans all lumped in the highly acclaimed ACEES agenda for Plateau State and comparing it that of other contestants to the seat of Governor in Plateau State.

We  are left with no choice than to endorse the Nentawe Yilwatda Goshwe and Pam Bot Mang ticket. in the 11″ March, 2023 Gubernatorial elections.

 We are also calling on all Berom; with a strong voice to vote for the duo as the Berom Nation stands to achieve a lot more when they are elected as Governor and Deputy Governor of Plateau State respectively. Other Candidates on the APC tickets contesting in the various Berom constituencies have also been considered worthy of endorsements and are hereby also endorsed by this Coalition.

We call on all Berom sons and daughters to ensure they come out in their numbers to vote, conduct themselves responsibly as we are known to do and ensure that we have a peaceful general elections.

The statement pointed that a large chunk of membership comprises of individuals who have served the Berom Nation, meritoriously, in the past at Districts and National levelsunder the Recognized Berom Organizations (RBOs) such as the National Union of Berom Students (NUBES), Berom Youth Moulders (BYM), Berom Educational and Cultural Organisation (BECO), with a sacred common desire of fast tracking and sustaining the overall progress of the Berom Nation.

The plurality of our opinions as a people nonetheless, there must always be a point within the windows of our existence where trends are analysed, inferences deduced, positions arrived at and resolutions publicised on what side of the discourse we find more comfort on, which manifesto we consider more in tune with our aspiration as a people and which idea resonates more with our drive towards greater glory.

There comes a time when we must identify who we will cast our nets with and thus support to Govern us, what platform offers us the fairest deal and whose words we are much easier to take to the bank when all is said and done. It therefore behoves on us all to set aside petty motions or primordial sentiments and focus on issues that will be of great benefits for the good and betterment of our people now and in the future. We must therefore look at the stated plight, collective interest and derivable benefits of the average Berom man, the common person who has over the years been made to support the aspirations of politicians with the promise of complementary appreciation after the ballot, the statement read .

We must look at how these promises have been kept or broken, we must analyse what volume of votes were garnered from the Berom

Nation and what those votes attracted to us as a people in terms of patronage across major spectrums of life. Doing so, will afford the Berom people of conscience to take a step as to what becomes of their future.

Since the return of popular rule in 1999, the Berom Nation was made to appear as a partisan political monolith who is only supposed to align with a particular political party and up until the coming of the The All Progressive

Congress (APC) Government in 2015, this narrative was not given a rest. It was so bad that despite the clarity of abuse of relationship between the then ruling party and the Berom Nation, our people were still seen as part and parcel of that onesided relationship where ours was all support and no commiserate reward.

Then came the APC in 2015 which by matter of strategy deployed a different approach in relating with the Berom Nation. Post election distribution of opportunities

showed a high degree of appreciation of the Berom at all tri-levels of Government in areas of strategic and value adding appointments. These can be seen on the following;

1. During the first term of the APC in Plateau State, our brother Da Rufus Bature was made the Secretary to the Government of Plateau.

Apart from being the first Berom man to hold that position, he was also the first person from Plateau North to do so. 2. At the last State Congress of the Party, it kept faith with the Berom Nation

by electing one of ours to the exalted office of its State Chairman. This gesture further put a dent to the arguments of naysayers who will want to hoodwink the gullible and make them think that the APC is not in tune with the Berom Nation.

This gesture has made it necessary for every reasonable Berom person to rally round him as it was in the days of the LateDalo Berom,Da D.B Zang when he was the State Chairman of the Nigerian Peoples Party (NPP).

3. There have been several appointments of Berom sons and daughters in both State and Federal Government which includes the followin A. FederalCommissioner, Federal Civil Service Commission B. ExecutiveSecretary,Nigerian Christians Pilgrims Commission (NCPC) C. National Commissioner, INEC North Central D. National Commissioner, Petroleum Up Stream E. Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Labour and Productivity F. Managing Director Nigeria Airspace Management Agency G. Federal High Court Judge, Port Harcourt. H. Several Commissioners and Members of the Plateau State Executive Council I. Heads of Parastatals, Agencies and Departments of Government at the sub-National level and many more of our sons and daughters occupying high positions on Federal State boards. | Again, there are many Berom youths whom have secured employment in the Local, State and Federal Governments under the Administration of the APC. This has added to the productivity level in the land while also curbing unemployment and attendant negative social vices. Gentlemen of the Press, today Berom land is the proposed host of the North Central campus of the Nigerian Law School, the National Trauma Centre in Riyom, the National Orthopedic Hospital situated in (Gwol) Barkin Ladi and the National Cancer Centre, Jos.
