Horrified by the spate of lopsided style of governance and discrimination against non – indigents living in plateau state by Governor Jonah Jang, a Benue Progressive Forum has advances  moves to stop the menace.
Benue political forum which is a multi-stakeholder project, comprising the Tiv, Idoma and Igede extractions expressed concern over the way and manner their sons and daughters were being treated in Plateau state.
The Forum disclosed this over the at its inaugural ceremony of the newly constituted executive members of the forum held at the conference hall of the plateau hotel in Jos, the plateau state capital.

Addressing the gathering chairman central planning committee, Hon John Adoh said the group has watched with keen interest the unfolding events in plateau state and the nation at large, and has decided to come together as one people and explore concerted and massive effort geared towards eradicating some anomalies in the state and all levels in the country.
Hon Adoh decried that Benue that has gave birth to plateau state has been relegated to the back ground and the people have not been in any way recognised in the scheme of things by the government of Plateau state.
“Benue people supposed to be a group to be accorded any recognition in the state before any other ethnic groups like the South- South, Yoruba, Hausa considering our long historical background that existed between Benue and ateau states  , but today you will find out that some of these groups are. enjoying government patronage”.
He however appeals to members to cooperate with the leadership to enable it delivers on her set goals.
Consequently, house committee chairman of FCT and member representing Makurdi North in the house representative, Hon Emmanuel Jime expressed delight over the formation of the forum , stressing the it will go a long way in breaking the barriers of tribal, religious and ethnic divisions that has eaten deep among the people.
He added that Benue state that has the capacity to produce enough employment opportunity to the teaming youths through agriculture produce, can not bost of having processing factories to take care the biggest yams and oranges into yam flour and orange juice respective.
He attributed this to lack of sincerity, good will and lack of unity amon  also called on all Nigerian to observe a proposed day tagged;
The group was however encouraged by Elders and community leaders from the three languages including the Ter Tiv on the Plateau chief Patrick Shilwua Nguape for the such a pragmatic steps to savage Benue people and urged them to be truth and just in carrying their responsibilities.
