Bauchi Police Nabs 2 Suspected Cattle Rustlers,Recovered 65 Cows, 19 Sheep In Bauchi

cattle-grazingThe  Bauchi State Police Command said it has  arrested  two suspected cattle rustlers and recovered 65 cows, 19 sheep at Kwajamau Bush in Toro Local Government Area of the  State.

The Command Public Relations Officer (PPRO) DSP Haruna Mohammed disclosed this while briefing newsmen in Bauchi, said police received intelligence report and the Joint Police vigilante group laid ambush and arrested the two suspected cattle rustlers at Kwajamau notorious bush in Toro L.G.A

According to him, the following suspected cattle rustlers were arrested by the joint police, vigilante group, they are Mohammadu Shumi 25 years and Abubakar Muhammed 30 years all who hailed from Zaria in Kaduna State and recovered 65 cows and 19 sheep

The Police spokesman said the   suspects lured and stole 40 Cows belonging to one Muhammad Bello 42 year old, who hails from Zaria LGA from his Son one Auwalu Muhammad male, who is aged 17 years at Yuga Forest, while rearing.

DSP Haruna explained that the police recovered number of exhibits from the Suspects which includes ,Sixty Five Cows including Forty stolen from the complainant and Nineteen Sheep.

He then called on general public whose Cattle and sheep were stolen to report to police Division Toro for possible identification of their stolen cattle.

Meanwhile DSP Mohammed said the Case is under investigation by the police command.
