The Bauchi State Police Command has today arrested two (2) suspected Vigilantes for Raping one woman in Bauchi.
The two suspected Vigilantes are. Lawali Sule and Babangida Shehu of them are from the same village called Dogon-Ruwa in the Ningi local government area of the state.
SP Ahmed Mohammed Wakil, who is the police, public Relations officer in Bauchi in a statement made available to newsmen said on 25th August 2022 at about 0200hrs the two suspects conspired among themselves and stormed the house of one Alhaji Gare, all armed with Dane-gun broke into his wife’s room one Hadiza Alhaji (not real name) and asked her husband we’re about, but he was not at home. Thereafter they threatened her with a gun with the view to have carnal knowledge of her and she succumbed out of fear.
Hajiya Hadiza Alhaji the victim was rushed to the Ningi general hospital for proper medical examination and confirmed the penetration.
While during the investigation, the two suspects’ voluntarily confessed what they did and recovered two Dane guns from the suspects, and the CP directed the suspects to be charged to Court.
In another development on 24 August 2022 at about 1100rs, a young 27 Mato Yohanna was arrested by detectives at the Ganjuwa Divisional headquarters after he had canal knowledge with a 3 years old Sara Ezra not real name in Jimbin village are of Ganjuwa local government area of the state.
The suspect confessed during the investigation that this is not his first time having raped minors, like this, but the second time, and finally charged to court for prosecution.
